Information We Disclose

In order to conduct our operations, including servicing your account or processing transactions, we need to share information with our service providers, including data processing companies, loan service providers, insurance companies, collection agencies and credit reporting companies. These service providers act on our behalf and have agreed to keep member information confidential. We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, as permitted by law and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our members and former members to anyone, except as permitted by law.

Other Parties Who Receive Information from Us

We may disclose nonpublic personal information about members to the following types of third parties:

• Financial services providers such as insurance companies, mortgage service companies, and securities broker-dealers
• Non-financial companies, such as consumer reporting agencies, data processors, check/share draft printers, financial statement publishers, plastic card processors, and government agencies
• We may share any member information of yours in response to a lawful request issues by a government agency, or regulatory authority or as permitted by law in order to administer an account. We may also share our experience information about you with credit bureaus, governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which affords you the right to verify that your credit bureau reports are accurate.

Disclosure of Information to Parties That Provide Services to Us

In order that we may provide members competitive products and services, we may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing or other services on our behalf to other financial service providers with whom we have joint marketing agreements. We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you under circumstances as permitted or required by law. These disclosures typically include information to process transactions on your behalf, conduct our operations, and follow your instructions as you authorize or protect the security of our financial records.

To protect our members' privacy, we only work with companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality protections and limit the use of information we provide. We do not permit these companies to sell the information we provide to other third parties.

Disclosure of Information About Former Members

Upon termination of membership, the Associates Federal Credit Union will not share information we have collected about members, except as may be permitted or required by law.
